Please tweet and email your @HackneyCouncil councillors today! Go to to ask to support the petition for @Sistah_Space to be debated at the next Council meeting online Weds, Jan 27th at 7pm
Hackney residents please lead, other residents please ALSO let your voices be heard. What has been happening to us for over a year has caused many of us to be, quite rightly outraged. Let's use our voices/pens/emails to express our views by lobbying👇🏾🙏🏾👏🏾
The family courts have been ignoring their legal responsibility to take domestic violence, including coercive control and rape, seriously.
It's time the family courts face the facts about domestic violence.

Please support our call on Govt to reverse its decision. Please sign our statement which is on our website together with further information about the Govt’s intentions and our concerns about the dual strategy.
In support and solidarity with @SBSisters @lawrsuk & working with @Safety4Sisters to promote the voices of dissent from our Northern Sister networks supporting NRPF women who will be legislatively excluded from protection
We are alarmed at the Govt’s decision to fragment its approach to gender-based violence (GBV), by creating 2 separate strategies for Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) and Domestic Abuse (DA).
Important concerns abt govt's plans for separate VAWG & DA strategies raised by @SBSisters @AngelouCentre @Safety4Sisters & @lawrsuk. Separate VAWG & DA strategies risks reversing 10 yrs of a joined-up approach to tackling the multiple forms of violence that affect women everyday
We are glad to see important cross-party support at the @UKHouseofLords for migrant survivors currently excluded from protection in the #DomesticAbuseBill. We continue advocating for the rights of ALL women to live a life free from domestic violence. Join us! #StepUpMigrantWomen
Replying to @RapeCrisisEandW: "We already have plenty of evidence of the impact of the No Recourse to Public Funds rule on migrant women, gathered o…
We are extremely concerned about the @ukhomeoffice's decision to fragment its approach to gender-based violence by separating domestic violence from the VAWG framework on its national strategy. We are joining @SBSisters, @AngelouCentre1 & @Safety4Sisters and need your support⬇️
Serious concerns raised by @SBSisters @AngelouCentre @Safety4Sisters & @lawrsuk about the govt's decision to deliver separate VAWG & DA strategies. This could undermine women's rights & reverse 10 years of consensus on tackling violence against women and girls in a joined-up way
