Since landing, our @NASAPersevere rover has given us high-def panoramic views of its landing site, Jezero Crater. Visit @GoogleArts to learn about the mission’s onboard tools, including cameras, that will pave the way for future human expeditions to Mars:
¡Bienvenidos a Los martes de Marte, nuestra nueva serie donde ofrecemos las últimas novedades de @NASAPersevere, destacamos a profesionales hispanos del equipo y contestamos preguntas de futuros exploradores! #JuntosPerseveramos #MesDeLaMujer
The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART), @NASA's first #planetarydefense test mission, will impact an #asteroid to demonstrate a technique that could be used in the future to protect Earth from a potential impact. Learn more in this new @JHUAPL video!
In 2022, our DART mission will attempt to change the motion of a small moonlet, Dimorphos, that poses no threat to Earth. The demonstration will test a new asteroid deflection technology:
The fifth & final pair of motor segments for @NASA_SLS's solid rocket boosters have been stacked!
Up next, the nose assemblies will be placed atop the segments to complete the boosters. These boosters will help power the 1st #Artemis mission to the Moon:
NASA Perseverance on the Ground in Color
Perseverance can be seen in this enhanced HiRISE color image at its landing site, six days after touchdown, doing system checks. The site appears to be covered in loose dark material with brighter material underneath.
✅ ✅ Two milestones, complete!
The #NASAWebb has concluded testing to confirm that the telescope’s internal electronics are functioning as intended, and that its 4 instruments can send & receive data through the same network it will use in space:
🔭 Our @NASAWebb Space Telescope completed its final functional performance tests confirming the observatory will withstand launch conditions. Liftoff is targeted for Oct. 2021. More:
