A fear I grew to know for 4 years and changed so much in our lives. The 4 year storm is finally over. Now I cry out of relief. I cry as I look around and see the damage done...but my heart is full of hope. It's time to pick up the pieces and NOT rebuild but BUILD anew.
I can't stop crying. It's a painful cry. The pain you would feel being reunited with family after being held hostage for 4 years. The kind of cry you imagine when someone on life support dies after 4 years of agony. A painful cry, that it is finally over. That my fear is dead..
While the fight to end white supremacy will continue, today, let’s take a moment to breathe a sigh of relief. To spread Black joy. And if you want…. to dunk on this idiot.
