Reni Eddo-Lodge: 'The debate on racism is a game to some and I don't want to play'
I did this interview in response to topping the UK book charts this week.
@renireni i hope certain people read the article & take heed. no good in participating in these pantomimes anymore, we KNOW they’re trying to bait the audience on both sides into engagement. the only difference is for them it’s a joke, for us it’s constant psychological torment.
@renireni “Being involved in feminist and anti-racist work, you notice very quickly that you have racism but no one who admits to being racist.” - yup. Great article Reni, and a wonderful book x
@renireni I have just circulated this interview to colleagues in my Department 🙏🏽
@renireni I'm ashamed it took me so long to engage with how privileged I am. I'm halfway through your book and I'm shocked by how little I understood. Thank you, I'll try to keep understanding & apologising when I don't.
@renireni Thank you for this interview. What you had to say was precise, honest and people should just read it and go and think about their lives! Keep juggling that balance between working and resting. You have earned it. 💪🏿🥰🙏🏿. And congratulations and good luck in your new home. ❤️.
